Learn to move your body like a bellydancer, a snake charmer! We'll start class with yoga inspired stretches then dive into the world of bellydance drills and layers. Experience the fluidity of the body in this class. Students of all levels will benefit from exercises that improve strength, coordination and flexibility. We will introduce basic bellydance isolations of the hips, chest, shoulders, abdominals, and arms, and break them down in a systematic fashion. A short combo at the end of class will pull together fundamental bellydance moves to create fun combos to add to any choreography. These combos will include some favorite tribal and cabaret moves with a little Latin, jazz, modern and hip-hop flare. All levels welcome! Please wear something comfortable, and bring a hip scarf, if you've got one!
